The advantage of our thermowells are that they allow your thermometer to read the temperature, but do not expose your beer to unsanitary threads and nuts, that would otherwise be needed to hold your thermometer in place.
Another advantage is that there is no risk of leakage, as there would be if we used lower cost (e.g. o-rings, nuts, and washers) methods to attach our thermometer.
