PTFE Gaskets
PTFE Gaskets (Polytetrafluorethylene gaskets) are commonly referred to as “teflon gaskets.” These gaskets, also known as "teflon tri clamp gaskets," are made of a highly dense tri clamp gasket material. They can be used in processes where the tri clamp connection needs to be rotated, such as racking arms and works great for many hot applications, such as a brewery brew house.
With a temperature range of -100°F to 400°F, PTFE Gaskets are useful for both extreme cold or hot environments; however, large temperature fluctuations are not recommended. It also has a high resistance to many corrosive liquids as well as ethanol, which is used in many extraction applications.
