Our 5.5 gallon hopback is a versatile addition to any nano brewery, micro brewery or brewhouse wanting to improve the quality of their brew.  This hop back contains a pressure lid and a false bottom and is designed to help you get amazing hop flavor and aroma.  It can also be used as a yeast brink, which is a storage vessel for your yeast.

 

This hopback holds approximately 19 to 30 oz. of whole hops, which makes it ideal for 1bbl to 1.5 bbl batches of brew.

Uses of this hopback:

  • The hop back is used between your brew kettle and wort chiller
  • The hot wort passes through and is exposed to the hops for a short time
  • With the pressure capability of this unit, you can use your wort pump to pump from your kettle into the hop back
